3’s and the New Year

3’s and the New Year

If crap happens in 3’s I’ve completed 2 sets at this point. From almost the very first day of the new year and my garbage disposal going out, it’s been a kicker:

  • Garbage disposal
  • Breaker tripping – run new, dedicated lines
  • Replace super old treadmill that’s actually causing the tripping
  • Emergency vet visit with Jax for food sensitivity flare-up
  • Network issues with Xfinity
  • Pressure release valve on my main water line gave out

Those are the highlights and I really don’t want to go too far into any of them. We’ve figured out that Jax not only has food sensitivities, he also has “smoldering pancreatitis”. Meaning he doesn’t actually have the pancreatitis disease itself, but his pancreas is always mildly inflamed, causing him issues. The new food we tried was a bust, so I’ve got a new one arriving tomorrow. If that still doesn’t work they have a nutritionist on staff I’ll work with to figure this out. It’s the lamest thing in the world to have a dog you can’t feed!

I’m not the only having something of a crapfest for this new year. I know a few more stories out there. Hopefully it will all calm down soon!

The new Jack Sparrow canvas is done and hanging up:

It looks better from a distance. The closer you get the more “pixelated” it becomes, but I’m still really happy with how it turned out!

I’ve pretty much given up on my meditation class at this point. It was 6 weeks long and I made it to week 3, but with everything going on I just didn’t have the energy for it. I didn’t particularly like the instructor which didn’t help. I’ve got the online courses I can work through on my own, so I’ll stick to that once I’ve got the energy to tackle it again. I am making a point to meditate 5-10 minutes a day and have kept the streak going for a couple of months, so that’s something to celebrate!

Not planning any big trips this year, so will probably take some random days off. Like when John Wick 4 comes out next month! 😀

All is well at the moment. Here’s hoping it stays that way for a bit!

Take care!

  1. Keep up the good work… if you can keep things running. Looks like you’re getting your edge on… or keep on edge… or maybe over the edge. Anyway, we keep hoping you’ll find yourself a great time and share it with us.
