All the swear words.
For the fifth time in about a week my internet is down. It went down 3 times in 10 days in September as well, so today marks the 8th outage. Each time it’s the same thing, I’m working fine with no issues, I get a text they’ve detected a problem in my area, then 10-15 minutes later I’ve no internet. It’s always down for at least an hour, usually during regular business hours.
I searched for “frequent Xfinity outages Utah” with lots of results from all over. So it’s not just my neighborhood, and it can’t be blamed on the construction.
The light at the end of this swear-word-riddled tunnel is that they are installing Google Fiber in my neighborhood right now! Yes, I said I was trying to get Google out of my life, but I have ZERO other options for internet. Until lately Xfinity has worked fairly well for me, but this is just unacceptable. And of course there’s no explanation, no refunds, or anything else from those #$^%$@^!@.
Halloween wasn’t bad, we had a pretty good turn out of probably close to 100 kids come through. I had no energy to hand out candy, so just put the candy bowl out. There’s so much left over I wouldn’t have cared if one of the kids had just taken it all. 😆
Super busy at work, taking a break from running the D&D games at the moment, pups are fat & sassy and desperately need to get groomed (next week!). Couple of weeks ago I decided to dive back into meditation and have been working through some of the programs at Tergar.org. The community is lead by Tibetan Buddhist teacher Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, who has just the best presentation style, always some humor in his videos. If it’s something you’ve considered trying out, check out their “Joy of Living” program: https://tergar.org/what-is-the-joy-of-living. I recommend turning on closed captions. 🙂
Hugs to everyone! TGIF!

Yikes, the internet nonsense is unbelievable!🤬
I’ll have to check out those videos!
Internet problems are the worst! I am UTOPIA with Xmission and am thinking I am done with Xmission and all the DNS issues I’ve been seeing with them lately :-(.
Good luck with Google Fiber – having fiber really is the best.
Happy Fall!
I can’t imagine trying to work with a website that is down as much as yours. Hopefully, you’ll find Google Fiber a better site.
