Fun Movie
I took Friday off to have a long birthday weekend and went to the new Thunderbolts* movie. I remember the new MCU movies would always come out the first weekend in May and I loved the timing as it gave me something of a birthday gift that way. However, I haven’t been super thrilled with the MCU stuff for a while now, but had hopes for this new movie. Well it didn’t disappoint! I really enjoyed this one and definitely recommend it if you’re looking to get out of the house for a while and enjoy something on the big screen. Best to avoid the trailers if you can. 🙂
There are tie ins to stuff you may or may not need to have seen before. The “Ant-Man and the Wasp” movie, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” series, and the “Black Widow” movie. Of them all, it’s probably most important that you see Black Widow, the rest I think you can just absorb as you go.
Finally got the frame from FrameItEasy.com for my last diamond dotz canvas. It has turned out to be one of my favorites:

Kind of the wrong time of year for it though, definitely more of a fall vibe from this one. 😁
I started working on a new quilt kit by Jason Yenter this weekend. He’s the designer behind many of the dragon/fantasy quilts I’ve done over the last few years:

I kind of stalled out on it though after cutting the panel for the center and the 6 dragon faces. This pattern calls for stuff to be cut in 1/8th inch increments! They’re usually at least 1/4 inch, mostly full and 1/2 numbers like “cut 3 strips 2 1/2 inches wide by 24 inches long”. This thing is asking for stuff in 7/8 and 5/16 inches! None of my quilt rulers have 1/8 inch markings! 😩
Oh well, I spent the rest of the time catching up on The Expanse book series and am about to start book 9, the final book in the series. Curious how this whole thing is going to end!
Hugs to everyone!

Thunderbolts sounds pretty good. I think we’ll see it when it comes to the sales. As always, I’m always impressed by your crafting. Beautiful things all the way around. Don’t know how you find the time.

LOVE that diamond dot and the quilt is a beautiful design but yikes on measurements!
